The JH/SH will be going on a canoe trip at Little Miami Canoe Livery on Monday, July 21st at 9am. After canoeing, they will spend time at the Walker’s house playing volleyball, swimming, cooking out, and jumping on the trampoline until 9pm. Cost is $15 plus a 2 liter of pop and cookies/chips. This is a weather permitting event, so stay tuned to Facebook or text Ben if the weather is questionable.
Bob & Beth Meyung are hosting a small group at their home on the book of Hebrews. They will meet every other Friday at 7pm for a 6 week study beginning 5/23 (excluding 7/4). Appetizers and desserts will be served.
Ladies will meet at Finneytown Panera on Saturday, July 26th at 9:30am. This month’s book discussion will be on A Change in Altitude by Anita Shreve.
On July 26th from 5-7pm, we will have a Cookout on the Lawn. We will be collecting school supplies for the State Avenue Carnival and taking monetary gifts for the Ahadi Boys to help with their school fees. Last year we raised $2,500 and this year our goal is to raise $2,750. Sign-ups will be available for anyone interested in sponsoring a child’s education for $70/month.
We need the following school supplies:
- spiral notebooks,
- notebook paper,
- pencils/pens,
- erasers,
- rulers,
- 24 pack crayons,
- glue sticks,
- colored pencils/markers,
- 2 pocket folders,
- gently used kids’ clothing & shoes, and
- gently used children’s books
