We want to be disciples and make disciples by teaching and preaching with both spiritual and intellectual depth. Our goal is to help one another attain a strong Bible knowledge and a sound understanding of God’s will. We equip everyone to defend his or her faith, but also work to develop a love and compassion that reflects that of our Master. We call everyone to a genuine life of worship 24/7. All of our decisions are made locally, with the Bible serving as our primary source of direction.
We ask for nothing more or less than what is asked in the New Testament. Where God calls us to action, we call one another to act. Where the Bible speaks, we speak. Our core beliefs are: Jesus Christ is the only Son of God who died for our sins and rose from the dead. The Bible is the inspired word of God. Every person has worth as a creation of God; all have sinned and fallen short. Salvation comes only by God’s grace. A person comes into a saving relationship with Jesus through faith, repentance, and baptism.
Most would probably call us “contemporary” in regards to our corporate worship style (full band as opposed to pipe organ). However, music and style are no substitute for what should go on in the heart and mind of the believer. Prayer, disciplined study, obedience to God, fellowship, and encouragement combine to make worship a way of life. When we come together as a body for worship, it is the collective praise of hearts committed to God.
